Wow. I had no idea from the coverage I'd seen.
If there's one thing that keeps me up nights, it's the fear that such will show up at my family's door some day.
On the other hand, if there's one thing that keeps me from listening to those fears and putting our heads in the sand, it's the fact that such does show up at the doors of other families. What a tragedy.
There goes our Liberal Media again, slanting the news in favor of their Liberal Agenda...
Since we're traveling to Tennessee in a couple of weeks, and will be traveling there by way of Missouri and Arkansas, and will be staying at a hotel in Mississippi, I have to admit we're just a tad nervous about conducting these travels as an inter-racial same-sex couple with teenage kid in tow.
If you believed in prayer, I'd ask you to say one or two for us... Any advice on how to blend in?
Eeek.
In small Utah towns I tend to stay in the car while Rob checks in for such reasons and that's the extent of my caution... Mississippi, though, and interracial... I may pray for you just in case.
Maybe, bring running shoes? ;-)
